Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and the communicating of a clear health and safety policy, together with the setting of measurable supporting objectives promotes a strong culture of awareness and understanding of our obligations throughout the company.
OGM recognises the importance of good communication in order to ensure that everyone knows what they need to do to stay safe. The company also believes that the processes and procedures in place to support its safe systems of work will be more easily understood and more robustly implemented if they are practical and uncomplicated.
In order to ensure that the company’s documented arrangements for health and safety remain up to date and relevant, they shall be subject to regular review.
The OGM health and safety management system has been developed to meet our obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. It provides a framework for a structured approach to the intelligent anticipation and management of risk, and a safe system of work throughout the organisation.
The Board of OGM undertakes to provide whatever financial support and resources are necessary in order to ensure that all of its legal and moral obligations with regards to Health & Safety are met in full.
The OGM Policy will be reviewed regularly for suitability and effectiveness and communicated to all employees.
